Easter - A Fun Time for Treasure Hunts

Easter is a fun time to do treasure hunts. It is the first time for many families to get out after a long cold winter to enjoy some outdoor activities.
Many children are itching to get back outside to do things and have fun outdoors. Easter themed hunts are a fun way to gather children and adults together to enjoy Easter and to get together with family. With Easter, there are many different kinds of hunts that can be done and still have a great time.

Purchase supplies at a store to create fun treasure hunts that will give children the time of their life by using the Easter holiday as a main theme.
Buy colored, hollow and empty plastic eggs to use as future clues for the hunts.
Or buy real eggs, color them, decorate them and refrigerate them for the day of the treasure hunt.
Easter egg coloring is a fun task for children and adults of all ages as it is a time treasured tradition to color eggs for Easter.

Use these eggs to create the treasure master plans by hiding them throughout the yard or park where the family is gathered. Buy some Easter themed candies to put into the eggs (if they are hollow) with clues to the next prize, or the final Easter surprise.

Next create and print out maps of the first clues to where the eggs could be hidden to add excitement to the treasure hunt.

(A certain number of eggs per person or child are set aside for only them and those hidden eggs are marked with a distinctive marking for that person or child).

Once all of the items for the treasure hunt have been bought or made, plan the routes you want to take in hiding the eggs outside.

Be sure to remember to write down how many eggs were hidden for each person or child.
This will be helpful in case someone has a hard time finding their eggs, as well as having to find a rotten egg at a later date.
When planning the fun event be sure to tailor them to the ages of the children or adults and to be sure that the clues are written out well enough to get to the next set of hidden eggs.

Once all the eggs have been collected, and accounted for, be sure that the last egg clue leads to the final prize for each person or child.
Easter time gives us an excuse to get outside to enjoy some fun because treasure hunts are fun for any age and can be done for any cost.

They are great for both children and parents.
